The Hidden Peacebuilders Video Diary Project has been in-progress since February 2024. We have now finished collecting all the videos and have catalogued and subtitled them into 9 playlists (accessible through our YouTube channel).
The project involves our RAs (Research Assistants) from our 3 countries of research, Burundi, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, posing 9 different questions to LFAs (Local Faith Actors) with the aim of having them reflect and feedback on their experiences with implementing DNH4FG (Do No Harm for Faith Groups) principles.
Prior to starting filming the responses to these questions, our participants and research team took part in DNH4FG workshops in each country, allowing us to build a rapport with LFAs and religious leaders, alongside inspiring interest in the project. From here, our Research Assistants in each country took on the task of collecting the LFA’s answers to the 9 questions which you will find at the end of this document. Another key aim of this project was for the different LFAs to see the responses of their counterparts in the different countries; creating the opportunity to share and reflect on their commonalities and differences in their roles as local faith-based peacebuilders.
The video diaries project is a way of allowing our participating LFAs to continue to share and reflect upon their experiences after the DNH4FG workshops. Moreover, it gives us, the Hidden Peacebuilders research team, a wealth of material and insights to use in our research outputs.
